Jack
- Female
Jack was relinquished to a high kill shelter when his owners were fined for having too many dogs. He came into the shelter a wiggly happy puppy and as the days wore on, he became extremely depressed and terrified. By the time Coastal was able to bring him in, even touching him resulted in flinching skin and submissive urination. We hustled to get this guy into a foster home in order to get his confidence back and let him learn to be a pup again.
Within an hour of being part of a pack, Jack regained his joy of living, his high play quotient and general teenage boy hijinks. Jack LOVES other dogs and would do well with a dog near his own age with the same energy level. He has the personality of a pup and clearly has had little supervision, direction or discipline in his young life. But he definitely wants to please and, while a little hand shy, he is coming around quickly.
We are working on his crate training as well as his general obedience skills. He'll make a great companion for a family with older kids.
