Indiana was seen running through traffic in an industrial area and, lucky for him, a Good Samaritan stopped to help him. He was emaciated and filthy, so she took him to the vet to have him scanned for a chip and to make sure he was ok. He had no collar and no chip, but was healthy, aside from being over 10 pounds underweight. When no owner came forward, she asked us to help find him a great home in which he'd be loved forever.
Indiana (AKA Indy) is a tiny GSD mix (part Collie?) who will top out around 45 pounds. This cutie is crate trained, great with other dogs of all sizes, and also amazing with children. His foster family is doing a great job of showing him the ropes inside a house and putting some much needed weight on him. His puppy energy comes out when he's playing with other dogs, but he's very respectful of and gentle with children. He doesn't appear to have had any training in the past, so his new family should take him through basic obedience classes, just to get him on point. Aside from that, he's just about perfect!
