Hunter

  • Female

Hunter is the resident frat boy in his foster home...he is all about fun and has a perenially good sense of humor.

When we pulled Hunter off of death row, he was at least 10 lbs underweight. He's been eating big healthy meals every day and packing on the pounds.

Hunter gets along phenomenally with the other dogs in his foster home although he probably will do best with easy going dogs. We believe that he is fine with cats. He loves to go for walks and just gets a kick out of almost anything. He does have a lot of energy as a typical teenage shepherd - he tries really, really hard to do what you ask of him...but he does love to run off with a shoe or slipper - its more of a game of whether you can catch him or not...he isn't at all destructive - he really is a party hound and right now his best buddy is Mya, another homeless girl - they tear and play like there is no tomrrow.

Hunter will walk nicely on a leash although he could use some obedience training - he is doing really well with sit and down!

He'll be a wonderful dog for an active family because we can tell that he would LOVE to be a running partner!!!!
