Hope
- Female
- 6-9 years
- White German Shepherd
Hope was dumped in an overnight shelter space. We've included her intake photo which we still find difficult to look at. Clearly, whoever had her treated her terribly.
This girl is one of the sweetest, most obedient dogs we've ever had in the rescue. Hope has perianal fistulas, an auto immune disease. She's under a dermatologist's care and has made huge strides with aggressive medication. We've even been able to transition her to regular grain free dog food (Nature's Domain - Costco) with no problems! While Hope will always have to be on medications, the costs have plummeted and we see a light at the end of a very long tunnel. Hope is in a foster home that is taking very good care of her in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Housebroken, bomb-proof in the house, fantastic with other dogs, affectionate with people, PERFECT on a leash, loves to be brushed. This is one gal who has blossomed with proper care, daily walks and a nice soft bed for relaxing.
Hope's medical needs are finally straightforward and manageable. She is highly adoptable for a family looking for a low energy, mellow girl.
