Meet Hondo. He was found as a stray in the high desert. His owners were contacted but never came to get him, instead letting him languish for weeks in a high-kill animal shelter. Luckily for Hondo, one of our volunteers came to the shelter to look at another dog and decided to take a stroll around the rest of the cages. When she saw Hondo, she just couldn't resist, even though it meant an additional trip to the desert the following week.

Hondo appears to be young, probably around 12 - 18 months old. He's a stunning red and black male. He seems to get along with other big dogs.
