Who could say no to that face? 😘

Hercules II is around 7 years old and has found that he loves being inside the house much more than left in the backyard. Houses have these soft objects that you can lie down on, they have people, and they have other dogs. Hercules gets along with dogs of all sizes, but he's not exactly sure how to engage in play and can sometimes look like he doesn't know how to approach other dogs. "Excuse me, do you want to play? I totally understand if you're busy. I don't mean to bother you. Have a good day."

He has lived in two homes, both with a large and small-to-medium sized dogs, and got along with all of them. He was in a foster home, then adopted, but was returned and came back showing issues he'd never showed in his foster home: protecting his main female caretaker from a man in the home, although his foster was a man and he adored him, so this is not an anti-male attitude. Because of this, he's was enrolled in boot camp for a few months, learning what's expected of him and did some more obedience training. He's a little shy with new people, but we know from his connection with his foster and previous adopter that he will open up once he trusts you.

Hercules II is potty trained, good in the house, and has medium energy. This big boy loves food- this might be the first time he's been on a regularly scheduled meal plan. He's not aggressive around it, but can be overzealous about taking treats from your hand. He can be timid in new situations, but he's super sweet, loving, and will make the best companion to someone who can supply structure, guidance, has GSD experience, and is looking for loyal best buddy.
