Halle

  • Female
  • 1-2 years
  • German Shepherd Dog

Halle was left tied outside the Redlands Animal Shelter. She was visibly pregnant, did not have a microchip, and there was no information left with her. Coastal GSR was able to find a foster who was experienced with pregnant moms and newborn puppies, and Halle gave birth to a litter of 12 on September 26, 2022.

This gorgeous black and tan beauty is estimated to be 2 years old. She has some training and will be a good fit in a home that has a strong "pack leader" mentality. Halle sits, gives left and right paw on command, is solidly leash trained, knows off, leave it and, however reluctantly, does know heel. She is easily corrected with an authoritative command, but not with a soft or suggestive command. Halle is sensitive to your disapproval once bonded to you and, at 60 pounds, is a wonderful representative of the breed.

Her yearning to bond to her people is strong and she will follow you endlessly. Halle assimilated into the foster's home and dog pack easily but, once she bonded with the foster, became possessive. Slight corrections resulted in her adjusting well- she will require the strong and steady guidance of her person to show her the way in her adoptive home.

Halle is smart (she can open levered door handles) and prefers to be inside the house rather than in the yard. She can jump a 4 foot fence so you would need a secure fence and gate and no planters or tables up again the fence where she could hop, skip, or jump over.

Halle is a gorgeous, smart, German Shepherd Dog who deserves to have people who will love her and a home where she can be happy. Do you have that home?
