Grizzly

Grizzly found himself at the shelter, absolutely petrified. The shelter staff realized that he needed more time to overcome his fear, so they spent time with him and, after they gained his trust, he started to open up. When rescued, he had a cough so our vet took X-rays and it was determined that he was in the very beginning stages of pneumonia. He was put on medication and, even before he was cleared, he felt much better and his personality really started to shine.

This 93 pound chocolate/liver colored Rottie is easy on a leash and walks well with other dogs. He doesn't appear to have ever lived with other dogs, though, and would need help in order to live in a multi-dog home. He spent time in a home with other dogs and children and, while he was good with the kids, he didn't appreciate the other dogs approaching him. Considering how fearful he was in the beginning, he's still come a long way and just needs someone with large breed experience to take him the rest of the way, but would be happiest as the only dog.
