Gretchen
- Female
This girl learns so quickly that her foster mom is amazed. With many dogs to care for, there is usually little time for training, but Gretchen seems to learn things after being shown only once! She’s crate-trained and enjoys sleeping and napping in her private space. Gretchen is assertive with other dogs, but not overly dominant. She tests how far she can go with them, but backs down immediately if they tell her they are higher than she is in the pack order. She’s affectionate and happy, and should make some lucky family a wonderful pet.
Gretchen has not been obedience trained, but she’s so smart that investing a little time and resources in classes or a private trainer should work wonders in a very short time. Until she is 100% trustworthy in the house, she should be crated when left alone. Gretchen, like all of our dogs, is meant to be an “inside dog” and should not be left to her own devices in a yard all day.
