Grace

  • Female
  • 1-2 years
  • German Shepherd Dog

Grace was dumped in an area that some horrible people take dogs that they don't want to care for any more. We cannot figure out why in the world someone would have left her there. She is an absolute doll. She was living on her own for several weeks and thanks to a very kind individual, we were able to help Grace get out of that situation.

When our volunteer went to rescue her she was very afraid of people, but coaxing her with food, treats, and a lot of patience helped. She still wouldn't come right up to us though, so we tried to see if she would come to another dog. Sure enough, she came straight up to Hannah, a Coastal alum, and wanted to play. She was so happy to see another German Shepherd! Slowly, we reeled her in closer and closer and then she let us slip a leash over her head and the rest is history.

She's extremely sweet and a total lover of people now that she trusts again. Great with every dog she meets (big and small), good with kids and she was even letting a cat eat the food we used to coax her without a care in the world so she's cat friendly also! She will make an excellent addition to a family that is willing to love her and give her the life she deserves.
