Glitter

  • Female
  • 1-2 years
  • German Shepherd Dog

Glitter is in a foster home with a number of other shepherds. She is not all that interested in interacting with them - she's much more intent on people. But over time, she has started to play with the big happy male GSD in the house. But she would be perfectly happy as the only dog yet can also be part of play groups or socialization situations.

Glitter does have one "handicap" if we must call it that. She is partially to mostly blind in her right eye. We have taken her to an eye specialist to determine what issues she has. The final analysis is that she is mostly blind in her right eye (likely a result of some sort of injury) and there is no surgery that can help her regain her sight. The only time it can bother her is when one of her rambunctious foster friends comes tearing up on her right side and she is understandably a little nervous but over time, she's become more comfortable - she has NEVER shown any response to a person coming up on her blind side. And she sees well out of her other eye so we really don't consider that she has any kind of handicap but we believe in full disclosure.

Glitter will be a great family dog, she is quick to learn, eager to please and just loves her people.....
