Foxy Brown
- Female
- 10-12 months
- German Shepherd Dog
Foxy started off life just like every other puppy. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to fight off tiny, microscopic mites that went untreated and she developed a condition called demodex mange (see before/after pic!) She landed in a high-kill shelter simply because someone didn't want to figure out what was wrong. Thankfully, we were able to find a loving foster home that nursed her back to total health under the direction of one of our trusted veterinarians.
Today, under a year old, Foxy Brown awaits her forever family and has blossomed into a fine, young lady. She's been raised around 3 other dogs, 2 cats and children. Foxy Brown prefers to be the alpha so ideally if she was placed in a home with other pets, her easiest transition would be without a dominant male or another alpha female. Foxy Brown should be in a home that will establish proper boundaries. Like all of our orphans, she will need a family that will spend time with her, train her and teach her what they expect from her. She is super smart and ready to learn!
Foxy Brown is young so she needs plenty of exercise to keep her mind and body active. She isn't the best candidate for a lot of car rides as she does get car sick (can be treated with meds). You have to pet her so you can see how soft her fur is...simply amazing! She will make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a beautiful, sweet, smart and happy little girl...after all, she is a survivor! Can you open your heart and home to Foxy Brown?
