Fletcher

  • Male
  • 2-3 months
  • German Shepherd Dog

Fletcher's life did not start out very nice. He was living in dirt and extreme heat in a yard in El Monte with his parents and siblings. When we rescued him, his siblings and his dad, all were covered with fleas and ticks.

Today you wouldn't know that Fletcher started his life in horrible conditions. He is a really nice 3 month old pup who likes to talk. It's most likely the Husky in him. When he is anxious for dinner or wants water he "talks". Not just "hey, how are you today", but more like, "Wow I'm super excited and just can't wait!".

From the first day he was with his foster family, he learned how to use a cat litter box with newspaper in it to relieve himself. Never mind that up until then he lived outdoors on dirt and concrete. He loved to use his litter box. He is now using puppy pads and learning to go outside to relieve himself.

He minds very well, takes direction, and is learning his name. And, he figured out how to break out of his crate the first time it wasn't securely latched. Fletcher is happy all the time - he is probably one of the happiest puppies you will ever meet.

Other than his brothers and sisters he had not met other dogs until he went to his foster family. But, he is a curious boy who does not seem to mind the other dogs or the cats that he lives with now.

Fletcher was one of the two smaller puppies and had anemia from his tick bites when he came to us. He has made a wonderful improvement and is now ready to go to his forever home.
