Esme, aka Esmeralda, is an 18 month old, petite German Shepherd. Apparently a family got her from an ad and wanted to turn her into an Emotional Support Dog. Esme had an old injury which did something to her rear legs. When the family noticed that there was an issue with her rear legs, they turned her into a shelter. The shelter staff were impressed by Esme and asked the "Save Bakersfield Dogs" group to help her. Esme had a FHO, went to a foster home to recuperate, and has completely healed.
