Dixie is a 10 month old spayed female Australian Kelpie cross. Dixie was dumped at a high kill shelter with a collar embedded in her neck. Whomever put the collar on her had neglected to notice that as she grew the collar literally was cutting into her throat ! If it had not been removed ,she probably would have died a slow and painful death.

She is a happy gal now, almost all healed up and up to her puppy fun and games!! She is ready for a forever home with lots of love and long walks. She is working on learning her house manners and loves all dogs and though she has not been cat tested, we think she would be just fine.
