Dancer is a beautiful young girl who had a rough start- she was born with a medical issue which caused a stricture to restrict her esophagus. By the age of 8 months, she was severely emaciated and her growth was somewhat stunted due to the lack of nutrition caused by the stricture. She came to us and received surgery, which allowed her to blossom into a beautiful and healthy girl. She has gained much need weight and continued to grow and fill out. At her last recheck, her esophagus was working normally and the damage from the stricture had resolved: based on the rate her esophagus emptied, her doctors felt she won't have any further issues. She no longer needs a Bailey chair, as she can drink and eat her food from the floor with no issues!
Dancer is currently in a foster home with both small and large dogs and is social with all of them. She is a smaller GSD, due to her rough start, but has a nice big bark. She is very friendly with people and children and bonds easy with everyone. She walks nicely in a harness, is housebroken, crate trained, and makes a great family member. She would do well in an active home, has been doing really well in her foster home, and is now ready for a family of her own!
