Colby somehow figured out how to do a German Shepherd impression and sneak into Coastal. We just couldn't turn away from his story - he was tied to the front gate at a high kill shelter that told his name (we changed it), that he didn't bite, he was good with kids and he no longer had a home.

Colby is probably 7 - 8 mos old, mixed with something like Rottie or Sharpei (he has wrinkles on his forehead) and he is a typical playful pup. Colby adores other dogs and is getting well acquainted with Jack and Pepsi, two other youngsters in our rescue. They are having a BLAST!!! Colby willingly sleeps in a crate and we'll be using that with him as we don't think he is housebroken but a crate will definitely help that process!

Colby is a very affectionate and calm boy for being such a young guy. He really warms up once he gets to know a person and would prefer to be a lap dog. He is quite averse to any trouble and tries very hard to do the right thing. He goes into his crate by himself and will sleep through the night. He is 90% housebroken and its just a matter of continued reinforcement and praise. He walks nicely on a leash and is just generally a great family dog.
