Cinder

  • Female

Sometimes in rescue, there are dogs that you just have to help. Cinder is one of those dogs. She was picked up wandering the streets and was discovered to have a badly broken leg. This young, solid black female has probably never known a kind human in her life - just look at her fly-bitten ears. We quickly answered the call to save her, but we need your help! Please donate today so that we can continue saving dogs like Cinder.

Update 2/4/07:

Cinder had successful surgery on Friday, February 2nd, to repair her broken leg. She is now in her foster home with other dogs and she gets along just fine with all of them. She is a very sweet and loving dog - while she is on crate rest most of the time, she is very patient with her foster mom while her plastic "shoe" is put on in order to cover her bandage when she goes out for potty breaks and fresh air.

Please contribute to Cinder's medical fund...by the time she is completely through her medical care, the costs to the rescue will be well over $2,000. Cinder, like so many other German Shepherds, is worth every penny but we must rely on YOUR help to allow us to save other dogs like Cinder. We appreciate the contributions that we have received to date but we aren't done yet!!! Any donation, small or large, is so appreciated!

Update 2/24/2007

Cinder's stitches and bandages have come off and she has full use of her repaired leg! Cinder is a very active girl and has shown that she is definitely an alpha girl. She enjoys the company of submissive males, engaging in play but she shouldn't go to a home with another female. Cinder will sleep all night in a crate and loves to spend as much time with her person as possible. During her convalescence, she has been left alone in the house with access to one or two rooms and she is very well behaved. She is now ready for her forever home, although she does need supervised play until mid March.
