Chase is a special boy around 7 years old who deserved to be saved from the horrible fate that befalls many shelter animals. In bad shape when he was rescued, his foster family brought him into their home to socialize him, groom him and allow him to recover from all Chase had been through in his unknown past. Looking at his pictures now, you'd never know he was most likely a neglected backyard dog.

His foster family has taught him how to climb stairs, get in and out of a vehicle and Chase is also learning how to walk well on a leash but this should be reinforced by his new family. Chase appears to have moderate hip dysplasia so he is given daily arthritis medicine. Glucosamine and fish oil capsules may improve this condition as well. A good diet and exercise has already made a world of difference. Despite his weak hips, Chase loves to run and play!

Chase sleeps comfortably in his crate at night and is housebroken. Chase is food aggressive with other dogs so it would be best to separate during feeding time. Young children or rowdy dogs may upset Chase if they jump on his back so a household without either may be better suited for him. He is truly a loving and friendly dog who just wants food and hugs and a soft warm bed!
