Cassidy
- Female
He waited for his owner to come for him.
He waited for his Good Samaritan to check in on him.
Now, he waits for our help to find him a home.
His story is one that we hear way too often:
Cassidy got out of the house & got his leg fractured when he was hit by a car August 2, 2006. A good Samaritan brought Cassidy into an emergency vet, and then he was taken to the East Valley shelter to contact his owner.
Unfortunately, Cassidy's owner was not prepared for the medical bills and follow up care he would need. The owner never had a dog before, so Cassidy was kept in the backyard. Since Cassidy wasn't trained, he took his tiny owner for walks and would jump up to greet her. Even though he let his owner know he craved human contact, Cassidy was left alone.
In spite of all that, Cassidy is one of the friendliest and outgoing dogs you will meet. He gives kisses and loves to be pampered with pats and belly rubs He has such a confident and intelligent spirit. Just look at his picture, he is a happy boy with lots of love to give.
Cassidy will require further treatment from a veterinarian to make sure his recovery is going smoothly. Even though we don't have a foster home available, we couldn't turn our back on this poor boy and leave him in the shelter.
Although he is safe, poor Cassidy is currently in a boarding kennel.
Cassidy is desperately looking for a foster home! We are making a plea to find a foster home for him where he will be able to recuperate in a quiet and comfortable environment. He is great with other dogs and loves people.
