Carley
- Female
Carly does easily trust other dogs. She is attracted to the adult dogs and wants to cuddle more than play. As she begins to feel better, her desire to play will probably increase, although “giving kisses” seems to be her preference. Carly has a gentle nature. Her brother Simon will “start stuff” with Carly regularly, but his little sis doesn’t compare to the new BIG foster sibblings – so she is often left behind.
Carly is just beginning to learn her house manners – including when and where to potty, what is and IS NOT a toy, etc. She is just a baby and will require consistent guidance and obedience as she becomes a larger and even more playful puppy. Please remember, Carly will likely continue her puppy phase for the first three years of her life. Adopting a puppy is a 10-15 year commitment that requires much time and energy to develop the puppy into a wonderful companion.
Puppies are a life-long commitment. They need time, training, vet care and healthy feeding to become good canine citizens. Don't even think of adopting a puppy unless you intend to invest the time and money and commitment required, and you can expect to lose a few good shoes along the way!
