Calvin is a young neutered male GSD about a year and a half old. He is currently living in a kennel. He has a nice temperament and is curious about other dogs. He doesn't show any aggression towards other dogs, so far just curiosity. He would be jumpy on a leash during his walks when we first got him but he has eventually calmed down and now enjoys them.

We aren't sure how he would be around young children but older children should be fine. Calvin is a quick learner and with a little training and socialization, will make a great companion.

We recommend a home with another dog - male or female but, in the kennel, Calvin prefers to hang with male dogs. A companion dog will help him settle in and gain more confidence in his new surroundings.

He doesn't really like car rides and his foster volunteer has been taking him in his van, in a crate, to help him get his confidence in a car. We think he was probably "dumped" out of a car in the neighborhood where he was found lost and wandering.
