Buddy was picked up as a stray by animal control in central California. We have a feeling he came from a home that, only a couple of weeks later, had 28 dogs confiscated from the property. He, Jet, and Lily all look to be related and have the same temperament and conformation. Buddy is great with dogs, but needs more work socializing with people. (When you have 28 dogs in your home, you don't tend to have visitors, so he's probably only ever known one person prior to landing at the shelter.)

Around 2 years old, Buddy is now great with the volunteers he knows, but can be scared meeting new people. The more we socialize him, the better he does, he's easy on a leash, knows basic commands, and adores a belly rub. We know the right person is going to meet him, fall in love, make him part of the family, and help him through the changes until he's a confident boy.
