Hi my name is Bolt. Everyone keeps telling me how lucky I am. At first I didn't feel lucky - after all I had been hit by a car and had some pretty bad injuries. Then a "Good Samaritin" found me and called Coastal that's when my luck began to change. First they made sure I got in to see a terrific veterinarian (all these big words I'm learning!). Then I had surgery to fix my broken leg and dislocated hip from being hit by the car. It had been a few days since the trauma had happened so they had a tough time doing the repairs but they did a really great job and I'm almost fully recovered. That's where I lucked out again they tell me. After my surgery I went to live with a really nice lady and her family. There were other dogs there that treated me very well since I had some recuperating to do and was on crate rest for awhile.

Now that I have finished my initial recovery period and am allowed some physical therapy walks and some play time - I get to play with the other dogs and we have lots of fun. I've learned all sorts of new things about living in a house and sharing toys and food with 3 other dogs. I was already fully housebroken so that wasn't a problem I'm very proud to say! I enjoy playing with toys, I don't get on the furniture, I get along with all the dogs, I'm great with kids and I love belly rubs (who doesn't?). The vet thinks I'm between a year and eighteen months old so I probably won't get much bigger but I do need to fill out some - I got pretty skinny living on the streets of LA before the car accident but my foster mom has been working on that and I've already put on quite a few pounds!
