Meet Blaze!
Blaze is just about as special as they come! We have no idea how his life has transpired, but we are sure glad that we have him and get to find him a forever home. Blaze is about 9 years old, although he has the spirit and energy of a much younger dog. He was turned into a high kill animal shelter in Los Angeles by a homeless couple who could no longer keep him.

While we had Blaze at the vet's for some routine tests, an xray revealed that at some point in time Blaze had an expensive TPO surgery on his left hip! Someone cared for and spent some money on this big guy at some point in his life, we would just love to know how dogs like this come to be homeless.

Blaze is the ultimate example of what a mature German Shepherd embodies. He is so graceful, loving, protective and sweet as pie! He gets along with other dogs --large and small-- and cats! Blaze is content laying on his dog bed for most of the day, although he LOVES going for a walk and will even hold the leash in his mouth for ya! He does have a bit of arthritis, but nothing a good diet and glucosamine supplements can't help!
