Bella is a loving, affectionate 7-year-old German Shepherd looking for a foster/adoptive home. She is great with kids and babies, but doesn’t care for cats. She is trained and obedient with a long list of personal commands. She does get excited when visitors first arrive at the house and of course when the mailman comes, but settles quickly once she knows that relaxing is what is expected of her.

Bella is looking for a home with a fenced in back yard and an energetic family to go walking/running/hiking with her. She loves fetching tennis balls and chewing on toys, but doesn’t chew on anything that’s not hers.

Bella will do great in a home experienced with the German Shepherds’ personality and traits, like being energetic, loyal, and vocal about her desire to protect the home and family. A quieter, consistent home will help her to relax. Bella will look to you, her new “Pack Leader” to help her understand what is expected and she will obey once she is clear on the expectations.

Bella's family originally took her in off the streets and tried to find an owner, but didn't have any luck. She's healthy, but they know they can't give her the attention she needs with two small babies in the home. They are heartbroken to let her go to another family, but feel if we can find her a loving home where she will get the get the attention she needs it will be best for her.
