This fluffy-coated cutie joined the Coastal family in May when she was surrendered by her owner along with her litter of newborn puppies, minus the one they decided to keep. On top of breeding her, most likely multiple times, then dumping her for a younger model, her owners also saddled her with the name "Baby Girl." 🙄 Now for the good news: she’s just been spayed so her breeding days are behind her, she's ready to be adopted, and whoever’s lucky enough to adopt her will also get the privilege of changing her name!

Having gone through so much upheaval and uncertainty during the last few months, B.G. quite understandably tends to be a tad wary and reserved when meeting new people. But while it might take a few days for her to totally let her guard down, it’s really not too difficult to win her over — some kind words, gentle scritches behind the ears, and a couple of nice walks will do the trick. And a squeaky plush toy she can tear the stuffing out of or a tasty bully stick will definitely help put you on the FasTrak to her heart!

B.G. is a medium-energy gal, potty-trained, good in the house, not destructive (except when it comes to plush squeaky toys with stuffing), and hasn't exhibited any separation anxiety issues. Her disposition is generally sweet and mellow with a playful side — she loves a rousing game of tug and her sunset zoomies are a hilarious sight to behold. And when she’s feeling particularly mischievous, she has a funny little routine where she’ll sneak up behind you and lick the back of your calf, and when you whirl around all startled, she'll flash you a disarming doggie smile as if to say, “Gotcha!" then give your kneecap a quick lick, too.

We're not entirely sure what her mix is -- part GSD, maybe part Chow, but she's just under 40 lbs and approximately five years old. She’s not crazy about very young children or dogs that bark at her, but will fit in beautifully in a home with well-mannered dogs and kids of at least grade-school age.
