Axel came to us from a city animal shelter in the high desert. He actually walked in to the shelter parking lot and right up to animal control officers. They thought certainly an owner would be looking for him. No one came for him and his time came and went. They reached out to Coastal in an effort to save him and secure a rescue spot. We had a spot open at one of the kennels and brought him into our safety net! Axel is a wonderful (big) boy who is just as happy on a walk as he is sitting under a tree and discussing the day's events. He doesn't ask for much. He is low key, mellow and super loving. He turns heads with his thick and dense coat and would really love a blow out! Axel will be an awesome addition to any household looking for a well balanced, chill kinda guy!
