Austin

Meet Austin, a beautiful and very well behaved girl! She is a bit shy at first but will warm up rather quickly. Austin loves hanging out with 4 of her foster brothers and sisters, she loves to instigate play and does well will dogs any size. She is more a follower than a leader. She also thinks (I should say she believes) she’s about 20 pounds and not 75. Austin is a gentle player, what she loves to do is be chased by another, she tries to hide behind the bushes . . . (like I said she thinks she’s 20 pounds), the only thing that is covered is her head and the rest of her body sticks out and she wonders how the rest of the pack can find her.

We think Austin was hit in the past, she drops to the ground when you try to touch her head at first, but once she knows you won’t hurt her then she comes back for more love. She has adjusted very well in her foster home and is housebroken. She snorkels the counter top when she’s hungry . . . . and all you see is the tippy top of her nose at the edge of the counter.

Austin was dropped off at the shelter by her previous family because one of their housemates was allergic to dogs. Once at the shelter, they determined that she was “too shy” to adopt out to the public, and Austin was put on death row immediately. This is when we received the phone call.

Well, that’s all in the past, Austin is now on the freedom train, she is such a happy girl and well mannered, she is also very thankful that she is given another chance.

Austin will do very well in a home with other playful dogs.
