Are you looking for a dog that will put a smile on your face every time you look at him?

Austin was rescued from a horrible situation where he was hit by a vehicle at a job site and no one did anything to help him for four months. As you can see, his left front leg was broken and healed in an awkward position.

Our team of veterinarians performed a surgery on his right rear leg to give it more range of motion and now we are waiting to complete surgery on his left front leg too. His foot and leg function ok now, but the long-term impact on the ligaments could cause the leg to go limp if it's not fixed. He will not be a running buddy, but he goes for regular walks around the neighborhood and to the park everyday and does great now and we expect it will be even better after surgery.

Despite his past, Austin is a really happy, goofy boy who absolutely loves life. He lives with multiple other dogs including a Chihuahua and loves to play with anyone who is a willing participant. He is a total little lover and the funniest dog you will ever meet! He will fit into any home that is looking to give a rescue dog a much better life than the way things started out for him! He will reward you with lots of love and all kinds of kisses!

Austin's rescuer and foster is hoping to find a home for him in South Orange County because he's a very special boy that he hopes to stay in touch with and see him on occasion.
