Austin was "rescued" because he was living in absolutely horrible conditions. He had been an outdoor dog his whole life and someone decided to sell him. We were worried about the situation he was living in and while he isn't the dog we were planning to add to our family (we do a lot of agility training), we felt it was necessary to get him out of those conditions and help him find a suitable home.

Austin is only 6 years old, loves people and other dogs, is pretty much a "Velcro" dog which is so common with German Shepherds. He loves to play with other dogs, knows his basic commands, is happy with a simple rope toy or chew toy, but he's also just fine laying around next to his people for attention.

He loves to go for walks, and does absolutely great on a leash, but due to his age, he shouldn't be going on real long walks, hikes, or runs.

The ideal home for Aussie would be with people that like to be home more often and hang out with their best friend going on walks around the block every day!
