Little Alley was found living in the dessert with her mom. Both were very scared and bonded to one another. They were separated soon after being rescued so they could both rehabilitate independently and become acclimated to domestic life with people and other dogs. Alley is doing great in her foster home! Although scared and shy during her arrival, she has successfully come out of her shell. She is building her confidence day by day and blossoming into a more secure little lady. Her older German Shepherd foster brother has shown her the good life of a warm comfy bed and games of tug-o-war… her days of surviving in the dessert are long gone.
Alley is a gentle, shy girl and would do best with a family who is patient and can provide the love she needs to feel safe and secure. She may be a bit scared or timid the first few days in her new home, but she will show her sweet silly personality and share lots of kisses after she has had time to acclimate to her new family and environment. She is very receptive to a calm leader, literally looking to her person for guidance. For example, on walks she will look you in the eyes periodically as if to say, “is this OK, do I just keep following you like this?†Which we say, “Good girl, c’mon†and pat her on the head as she strides alongside.
She would be thrilled to live with another dog who can provide her companionship and guidance when her people are away from home. A great match would be a gentle confident dog who could show her the ropes and let her know the world isn't always a scary place. Alley is great in the car, she is calm and enjoys the view going by and will lay down and relax for the ride. She is housebroken, and sleeps through the night. She is a smart and happy pup who is ready to meet her future forever family, could that be you?
