A nine month old German Shepherd is still a puppy and is a big commitment, one you need to be prepared to make for 12 to 15 years. Don't think about adopting a puppy unless you are willing to go through chewed up shoes, dug up plants and obedience and training, and making sure you'll always have a place for your canine family member.
