Ava has been adopted! 08-29-2009
Ava is a super model who isn't afraid to be rough and tumble. She is about 3 years old and a lovely lady. She gets along well with other non-aggressive dogs and has a very balanced disposition. She will flourish in a home environment. Update 8/05/09 Her foster family plays ball everyday and she is always so happy to chase after them, after all that's what ball hogs do! Ava is housebroken and she is good about not getting things that don't belong to her and is content to play with her toys. She is also crate trained and walks right in when told to and behaves. Her foster family report that she is a joy to have around!
Ava has an easygoing nature and gets along great with other dogs. She is pretty patient even when they show her some attitude. Ava knows her basic commands very well and follows them perfectly. She loves going for walks, even the looong ones.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
