Athena is a petite princess who is 4 years old. This sweet little girl should have had a fairy tale life based on what her adoptive family told us when they selected her as a puppy. She went home with the family when she was two months old. The family had a house, children, and another Malinois. However, at the end of 2025, Coastal GSR received an email from a shelter letting us know that they found Athena roaming around as a stray. When we tried to find her family, it was like they vanished from the face of the earth. The house was sold, the people were gone, and no one was missing Athena.

Athena came back to Coastal GSR and re-joined our family. A family that would never give up on her. She is still a bit bewildered about what happened to her but she has been settling in and enjoying walks and ball playing with our volunteers.
