Dixie has been adopted! 03-09-2024

Female German Shepherd Dog /Great Dane mix about 2-3 months old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs.

Do you like big and beautiful puppies!? Well - meet Dixie. She just turned 3 months old and weighs over 35 pounds! Here's her story:

Dixie and her siblings were born in a shelter to mom Dolly on December 2, 2023. A week after they were born, Dolly and her babies moved into one of Coastal German Shepherd Rescues' foster homes.

Mom Dolly looks to be primarily German Shepherd but her puppies are mixed with another large breed(s). We were not sure what they were mixed with but the puppies just shot up in size at 3 months old. They have huge paws, long legs, and long bodies. We initially thought they may be mixed with lab but now we are thinking Great Dane. The puppies are crate trained. They are working on their potty training and hope to graduate soon.

Dixie is a pretty black and tan pup. Her portrait does not do her justice. She, along with her brothers Dash and Dexter, is one of the sweetest puppies in the litter. Dixie would rather be with hanging out with her people than with other dogs, though she does just fine playing with the other canines. Dixie would do well by herself or placed in a home with other dogs.

Mom Dolly is also available for adoption.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
