Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Rocket is available ( Updated 11-29-2022 )

Male German Shepherd Dog about 2-3 months old. Gets along with other dogs.

Rocket is a "Super Hero" puppy born to a mom that was rescued from a wilderness area in Stockton, California. All of the puppies have names from either the "Avengers" or "Marvel".

Rocket and his brothers Hawkeye, Falcon, and Drax moved from Stockton to Orange County into a foster home with multiple dogs. They fit right in and made themselves at home.

Rocket is a cute little spitfire. He likes to talk to you and will let you know when you are 5 minutes past dinner time. He can be a little pushy with the other puppies and he is a confident pup, but at the same time, he can get spooked easily with new things. Yard work and playing rough with Drax are his favorite things to do. He is very active but can be a little needy at night time when he needs some extra love and comfort. He would do awesome in a multi dog home that has another energetic dog with whom he can play!

Some background on the "Super Hero" litter: The mom - Nala - is a full German Shepherd. We don't know what the father was but was most likely another GSD or a similar large breed dog. Nala followed her rescuer as she was hiking in a wilderness area and eventually trusted her enough to go home with her. After her rescue, Nala gave birth to a litter of 8 puppies in the rescuers home. The pups were born on August 19th.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
