Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Rocket has been adopted! 01-06-2023

Male German Shepherd Dog about 4-6 months old. Gets along with other dogs.

Rocket is a "Super Hero" puppy born to a mom that was rescued from a wilderness area in Stockton, CA. All of the puppies have names from either the "Avengers" or "Marvel".

Rocket has really blossomed into the sweetest boy. He is 4 months old. He is potty-trained and sleeps in a dog bed at night, even though he is crate trained. He walks well on a leash, is learning to sit, is very loving and seeks attention, and is an all around love bug.

Rocket loves the outside. He could be in a home by himself, as long as there are people around to play with him, or he could go into a home with another young dog who will play with him and be a companion.

Some background on the "Super Hero" litter: The mom - Nala - is a full German Shepherd. We don't know what the father was but was most likely another GSD or a similar large breed dog. Nala followed her rescuer as she was hiking in a wilderness area and eventually trusted her enough to go home with her. After her rescue, Nala gave birth to a litter of 8 puppies in the rescuers home. The pups were born on August 19th.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
