Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Hawkeye has been adopted! 11-22-2022

Male German Shepherd Dog about 2-3 months old. Gets along with other dogs.

Hawkeye is a "Super Hero" puppy born to a mom that was rescued from a wilderness area in Stockton, California. All of the puppies have names from either the "Avengers" or "Marvel".

Hawkeye and his brothers Falcon, Drax, and Rocket moved from Stockton to Orange County into a foster home with multiple dogs. They fit right in and made themselves at home.

Hawkeye is super sweet!! He is definitely a little more on the cautious side compared to his brothers and he takes some time to warm up to people. He loves to snuggle and have alone time to chew on his toys and bones. He's not big on rough play that the other puppies sometimes engage in. He would fit in best with a fun but low-key family.

Hawkeye is going to be a big guy! His ears are struggling to stay up but they are winning the battle! Hawkeye is going to be a gorgeous big Shepherd!

Some background on the "Super Hero" litter: The mom - Nala - is a full German Shepherd. We don't know what the father was but was most likely another GSD or a similar large breed dog. Nala followed her rescuer as she was hiking in a wilderness area and eventually trusted her enough to go home with her. After her rescue, Nala gave birth to a litter of 8 puppies in the rescuers home. The pups were born on August 19th.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
