Piccolo Pete has been adopted! 08-23-2022
This is Piccolo Pete.
We were able to make room for two dogs just before the 4th of July. We always try to take dogs who are already in the shelter system on the 3rd, as the 4th is the busiest intake holiday for shelters all across the USA. We offered Piccolo Pete a lift and he happily jumped into the car, calling shot gun.
Only around 2 years old, this big/tall boy is still thin, but is putting on weight and healthy as can be. He's absolutely in love with balls and would enjoy a good game of fetch for hours on end. Piccolo Pete's quite a gentleman and will politely lift his right paw as if to say, "sir, may I have the ball, please, if it's not too much trouble?"
If you're looking for a young GSD who adores his people and gets along with other dogs, this gem is going to make you happy for years to come.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
