Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Lily has been adopted! 10-23-2022

Female German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Gets along with other dogs.

Lily grew up in a house with 28 dogs. Yes, their owner was a hoarder and the dogs were eventually confiscated by animal control. As you can imagine, she is great with other dogs but wasn’t socialized with people (we’d imagine you don’t have much company over to a home with 28 dogs) and she can be a little timid with new people and in new situations.

The Tulare shelter volunteers did a great job starting her socialization process and the Coastal volunteers continue to expose her to new things and new people (well, when she isn’t rolling over for belly rubs). Around 3 years old, Lily is good on a leash, good in the car, and appears to have been an inside dog in her previous home. She's absolutely adorable, a cuddle bug, and can't wait to find her forever family!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
