Oliver has been adopted! 02-25-2022
Oliver is an owner turn in. He was not turned in because he was a bad dog - in fact Oliver was a very nice dog. His owners were just too young and unable to care for him properly.
His first night at the kennel was so frightening for Oliver, he decided to climb the 8 foot fence to get out only to find himself in the other kennel next door. Yup, Oliver can climb.
Oliver is a little over a year old. He still has some puppy energy. Since being with Coastal, and walking with our volunteers, Oliver has learned leash manners and basic commands. He sits on command and can walk "politely" on a leash.
Oliver is friendly to the people he meets and he gets along with most dogs provided he has a proper introduction. He is a very handsome young fellow! He wants to learn more about the big world out there because before he came to Coastal, his world was only his backyard. Oliver is a little insecure around other dogs and it would be best if he went into a home that does not currently have a dogs so he can settle in and relax.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
