Nelly has been adopted! 12-11-2020
We were alerted to a dog who had been placed in the overnight drop box at a desert shelter. Nelly looks like she’s had puppies, wasn’t spayed, wasn’t chipped, and quickly ran out of time at the remote shelter. When no one came for her and she was placed on the euthanasia list, a foster family decided to open their home to her and that was that. Her new foster dad drove over two hours to pick her up and quickly fell in love with her on the drive back. She’s now vetted, spayed, doing great, getting along with their big and small dogs, kids, and is ready for her happily ever after.
Probably somewhere around 6-7 years old, this beauty is great in the house, potty trained, crate trained, and has looks for days!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
