Dodger is available ( Updated 02-12-2025 )

Male German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly.

3-year-old Dodger (born in June of 2020) graduated Summa Cum Laude from an ivy league board and train program, where he lived with and trained with other dogs (who might not have had his stunning good looks, but he treated everyone as if they did). This big puppy learned so much there: how to be social and that there are rules that need to be followed, which ultimately lead to his own confidence and comfort.

Dodger is a quick study and as smart as you'd expect from a working dog. He is living in a foster home, good in the house, and does great with his canine foster sister. He's crate trained, potty trained, has a big ball/toy/food drive, and would be a great addition to a home with GSD experience. (He would not be a good fit as someone's first GSD, but, if this is your breed and you have experience, he will quickly become your all-time favorite dog out of all of your dogs.)

A perk to adopting Dodger is that you'll get a session with his trainer, to set you up for success upon adoption, and can attend The Royal K9 Dog Psychology & Training Center monthly training sessions (for all graduates of their board and train program) for a lifetime!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
