Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Dodger is available ( Updated 11-29-2022 )

Male German Shepherd Dog about 1-2 years old. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly.

Dodger was adopted as a puppy during the pandemic. Based on the dog we met when he came to us as a 2-year-old, it didn't seem that he'd experienced leadership nor structure and had made up the rules as he went along, which landed him with the rescue. We enrolled him in a board and train where he lived with his trainer and other dogs. This big puppy learned so much there: how to be social and that there are rules that need to be followed, which ultimately lead to his own confidence and comfort.

Dodger is a quick study and as smart as you'd expect from a working dog. He has learned how to respectfully exist in a pack and does well with other dogs. He's crate trained, potty trained, and looking for love on the internet. If you want to add a ride or die with a side of charm to your pack, this handsome boy can't wait to become part of your family. (Dodger would do best with older children or no children in the home.)

A perk to adopting Dodger is that you'll get a session with his trainer, to set you up for success upon adoption, and can attend The Royal K9’s monthly training sessions (for all graduates of their board and train program) for his lifetime!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
