Izzy has been adopted! 03-18-2020
If you've ever wondered what having a really great dog would be like, adopt Izzy! She's a ridiculously sweet doll of a GSD in the body of a hippo who is soft and gentle, but looks like a cross eyes Cujo when she's trying to catch balls and not catching those balls, is missing a the pinky digit on her front right paw, but has an extra long piece of Jennifer Aniston's 1990 bangs in its place.
Around 3-4 years old, Izzy is a total looker, but her beauty is actually in her temperament, which is perfection. Her catching skills, while very intense, are simultaneously very weak. We’re going to work on that: catching with teeth, not bouncing the ball off of those teeth, and holding on for the win. She doesn't care, as she has fun running around after those balls that she can't catch in the air and will squeak them while thinking "could anything be better than this?" Only finding your forever family, Izzy.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
