Ian has been adopted! 12-29-2019
Pregnant mom Ivy came to us and delivered ten healthy puppies at her fosters' house on October 26th, the same day we were promoting "Adopt,Don't Shop" and "Rescue Dogs Rock" at the Strut Your Mutt celebration in Los Angeles.
Ivy, the mom, is a purebred German Shepherd Dog (GSD). We don't know what the father was but a DNA test done on one of the puppies indicated that they are ~90% GSD and possibly 10% Boxer.
The puppies have been weaned, vaccinated, and microchipped and are ready to go home the weekend of December 21st. They are at three different foster homes now. They are socialized with other dogs and people. They are a really lovely and happy group of GSD puppies.
The requested adoption donation is $500.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
