Jeffie has been adopted! 01-18-2020
Jeffie and his siblings were rescued by a good-hearted person in San Diego and released to Coastal GSR. The four puppies (Jade, J-Mo, Jedi, and Jeffie) had ringworm, abrasions, and worms. All of the puppies went to the vet and received the treatments and medicines they needed.
Jeffie is with a family that has an older German Shepherd and a cat. He isn't sure what to make of the cat and keeps checking him out. He is stockier than his brother Jedi and is sweet and goofy.
Jeffie is a German Shepherd mix and his coloring is close to that of a yellow lab; however, he is smaller than both those breeds. Jeffie would be good in a home with children; however, he is in the "nippy puppy stage" which might be a bit much for children under 5 years of age. He would do well with another dog in the home as he loves, loves, loves his big foster brother. We actually recommend that Jeffie go to a home with another dog. Jeffie likes to hang out with his fosters and be around people. He likes to go on car rides too and help with the chores like decorating the Christmas tree.
Jeffie was born on August 10, 2019.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
