Harley, AKA Taco is available ( Updated 05-24-2019 )
Harley/Taco was born on October 20, 2009 and adopted from us as a 10-week-old puppy. Well, 9 years later, he's back with us and looking for someone who will love him forever. (We always take our dogs back- if it's 9 weeks later or 9 years after adoption.)
This 90+ pound boy had his world turned upside down, so we're doing everything we can to make him comfortable. He wasn't socialized with other dogs and doesn't seem to have been socialized much with people, either, so he's looking for a low traffic home. He bonds really well with his person, but is weary of strangers and other dogs. He can take walks and not lose his mind, though- he doesn't put on a show, but does tend to stare unless you tell him "no" and then he'll stop. He's really bonded with the two people he sees all of the time and he's looking to have a best friend again who will let him sleep at their feet while they sit on the sofa and give him the occasional belly rub.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $300 and the adoption donation for puppies is $400 - $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
