Jewel has been adopted! 07-29-2018
Yes, Jewel only has one ear, but don't tell her that!! She is here to show the world that symmetry is overrated. Jewel is a precious gem who has moved on from her past and knows her future continues to be amazing.
Jewel was found with a badly infected and maggot infested ear that had to be amputated while at the Riverside shelter. She needed more medical attention than she could receive at the shelter, so Coastal GSR scooped her up and got her the additional care she needed. She was released from the vet and is now living comfortably in her foster home.
Jewel is a smart, outgoing, and energetic puppy. She is doing well learning her manners, like not to jump and to sit when she wants something. Like any puppy, she will continue to thrive with obedience training and daily exercise to keep her stimulated and happy. She loves being with people and playing with other dogs at full speed. In true German Shepherd fashion, Jewel wants nothing more than to be right by your side. Even when you think she is not paying attention... there she is, your little shadow. Could she be the new side-kick to your family?
The requested adoption donation for Jewel is $500.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
