Kanon has been adopted! 09-15-2018
We knew that we must help Kanon after we saw his heartbreaking plea from the county shelter. This young boy had come in as a stray and was suffering from complete starvation- every rib could be counted, he was easily 25 pounds underweight, and his hairless body screamed of the obvious neglect he had suffered. He was covered with a bacterial infection, ear infections and completely starved, yet Kanon kissed his rescuers as he walked out of the shelter with a new bounce in his step and a glimmer of his new life ahead.
And look at him now!
Once he was released from the hospital, he moved into a great foster home with two other large dogs. He really loves to play with them and would enjoy a home with other young, playful dogs, is a big fan of toys and balls, and loves car rides. Kanon is good in the house, crate trained, and going through obedience training with his foster dad. He's an amazing, sweet, kind, playful, young boy who has his whole life ahead of him and would love to spend it with a fun and active family!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
