King has been adopted! 12-15-2018
King is a sweet, loving dog whose personality has increasingly evolved since his rescue. We received a call from a vet who had just seen King and was told the owners couldn't afford to treat him, so they were discussing putting him down. He was covered in open sores and infections, was severely underweight, and needed immediate treatment. When we saw his pictures, we couldn't say no. King spent a couple of weeks at the hospital before being released to a foster home. After seeing a dermatologist, they discovered he had MRSA. This poor guy has been through the wringer, but has come out the other side and is now enjoying a life without pain.
King loves to play with toys, is great with big dogs, acting submissive around them, and is an early riser, waking up between 6:00-6:30. He likes to hang out in the backyard in the morning, but doesn't mind if you go back to bed. He's great in the house, potty trained, and has to have at least one walk a day to get his wiggles out.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
